AddiFlex® – Biodegradability (Nylon)

AddiFlex®     Oxo – Biodegradability

What is biodegradable ?

Biodegradable plastics are plastic materials that can be degraded in nature. When there is enough humidity and oxygen It can be metabolized and decomposed by microorganisms in natural burial or composting environment which are less harmful to the environment

WHAT IS ADDIFLEX ?

Using non-mental Catalyze breakdown to smaller micro plastics under UV and O2 presence

ASTM D6954 is divided into two test methods

  1. Photo-Degradation Testing: ASTM D5208 (simulating the environment abandoned in nature)
  2. Oxidative-Degradation Testing ASTM D5510 (simulating composting environment)

After the above test is over, the decomposition time is calculated based on the 5P or inorganic degradation time

At present ,ADDIFLEX can be applied to NYLON, the actual decomposition time of the fabric is still under test

ADDIFLEX is applied to PP, the fabric decomposition time is 3~8 years cause 90% complete decomposition

Therefore, AddiFlex ® features:

-Can be recycled

-During the biodegradation process , release CO2 slowly

-Can be used in professional landfills but not suitable for general compost

-Degradable anywhere on the land

-Safe application on food implement
